Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Anne Hudgens (born December 14, 1988) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series.^[2] She pursued a solo music career and released her debut album V on September 26, 2006. The album debuted at number twenty four in the U.S.^[3] and was later certified Gold. Hudgens released her second album, Identified in July 1, 2008 in the U.S. She has three upcoming films: Bandslam, in theaters August 14, 2009,^[4] Beastly in 2010, and Sucker Punch!^[5] in 2011.

On September 6, 2007, photos of Hudgens appeared online showing: two showing her posing in lingerie and another showing her nude. A statement from her publicist claims that the photo was taken privately and it was unfortunate that they were released on the internet.^[37] Hudgens later apologized, saying that she was "embarrassed over the situation" and regretted having "taken [those] photos."^[38]

OK! magazine speculated that Hudgens would be dropped from High School Musical 3 due to the photos.^[39] The Walt Disney Company denied the reports, saying, "Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment. We hope she's learned a valuable lesson."^[40][41][42]

However, in August 2009, a new set of pictures showing Hudgens topless emerged on the internet. The latest batch of topless pictures are said to have been taken before the first nude photo scandal. Hudgens' representatives have yet to make an official statement although lawyers have requested the removal of the pictures from the internet.^[43][44]

"We asked the blog sites to take them down because posting such photographs of a minor is illegal, improper and offensive, violates her privacy rights, and infringes other legal rights in and to the photos," Hudgens' lawyer, Christopher Wong, said.^[45] Furthermore, anyone who will share semi-nude pictures of Hudgens is liable to face a lawsuit, according to legal experts.^[46]

 

Anna Friel

Anna Louise Friel (born 12 July 1976) is an English actress. She rose to fame in the UK on Channel 4 soap Brookside. Her most recent role had been starring as Charlotte "Chuck" Charles, the female lead in the American television series Pushing Daisies. In the film Land of the Lost, she played a research assistant opposite Will Ferrell. Friel was born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, the daughter of Julie, a special needs teacher, and Des Friel, a former teacher of French and owner of a Web Design Company.^[1][2] Friel's Irish Catholic father, a former folk guitarist, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland.^[3][4][5] Her brother Michael starred in the Hovis television adverts. She attended Crompton House Church of England High School, in High Crompton, Shaw and Crompton. She then attended The Oldham College in Oldham. Friel became interested in acting at an early age and received frequent praise for her work at local talent shows.^[6]

At the age of 13, she was hired for her first professional acting job in the Channel 4 drama serial G.B.H., as the daughter of Michael Palin's character. Her performance led to a series of appearances on various British television shows, including Emmerdale. In 1992, she was added to the cast on the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside, where she gained greater exposure in the role of Beth Jordache. Though she only stayed on the programme for two years, Friel's lesbian kiss remains one of the most talked-about moments in British soap history.^[7] In 1995, Friel won the National Television Award for Most Popular Actress for her work on Brookside.

In 1996, Friel courted further controversy^[8] when she appeared in the television film The Tribe by Stephen Poliakoff, which included nudity and a much discussed ménage à trois sex scene between characters played by Friel, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jeremy Northam.

In 1998 she appeared in the original Broadway run of Closer by Patrick Marber at the Music Box Theatre in Manhattan, United States winning a Drama Desk Award and a Theatre World award for her performance as Alice. In 2001, she made her West End stage debut in London in a fringe production of Lulu which also transferred to Broadway.

Friel's film credits include playing Nick Leeson's wife Lisa in Rogue Trader opposite Ewan McGregor; David Leland's The Land Girls, which also starred Rachel Weisz and Catherine McCormack; All for Love with Richard E. Grant; A Midsummer Night's Dream as Hermia, opposite Christian Bale, Dominic West and Calista Flockhart; Timeline as Gerard Butler's object of affection; Me Without You opposite Michelle Williams; and Goal! and Goal! 2: Living the Dream....

Her television work includes the short lived The Jury for the Fox and ITV1's Watermelon which was based on the novel by Marian Keyes. In 2007 she started playing Charlotte "Chuck" Charles in Pushing Daisies, a new television series from the creator of Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls, on the American network ABC.^[9] In November 2008, creator Bryan Fuller stated that it had been cancelled due to poor ratings. The show ran for two seasons.

In the pilot season following the cancellation of Pushing Daisies, Friel was offered six pilots but declined all six roles in favour of focusing on her movie career.^[10]

In November 2006, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Bolton for contributions to the performing arts.^[11]

She has also been seen as the face of Pantene Pro-V Ice shine in the United Kingdom, appearing in both television advertisements and print advertising. She has also appeared in adverts on television for 3 Mobile and Virgin Atlantic Airways.

In May 2009, Friel confirmed that she will star in a West End adaptation of the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. The show is due to start in September 2009 at the Theatre Royal.^[12]

Friel is due to star in a film 'London Boulevard' alongside Ray Winstone and Keira Knightley which is expected to be released in 2010. It also stars her real life partner David Thewlis.

Jessica Stroup (born October 23, 1986) is an American actress and model. Stroup is better known for her role as Erin Silver on the Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off, 90210. Jessica Stroup was born on October 23, 1986 in Anderson, South Carolina. She spent her childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. A friend's mother was a former Miss North Carolina and encouraged Jessica to pursue modeling. She has an older brother, Dave Stroup. She has previously stated that her parents were quite strict but still supported her aspirations. She graduated from Providence High School in 2004. At age 17 Stroup was offered a scholarship to attend the University of Georgia, but turned it down in order to pursue an acting career. She then moved to Los Angeles, California, where she currently resides. Stroup began modeling when she was 15 and acting when she was 18. Her first acting job was as a guest star on Nickelodeon's popular teen series Unfabulous. Next, Stroup landed a small role in the CBS TV movie Vampire Bats. She played a major role in the TV movie Southern Comfort. Stroup was originally going to play Zoe in I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. According to IMDb Stroup had auditioned for a role in the in the 2008 horror film "April Fool's Day". In 2008 she joined the series 90210 as Erin Silver, the younger sister of David Silver and Kelly Taylor, a rebel who produces and stars in a YouTube-type video series.

Her first feature film was School for Scoundrels. She co-starred in the 2007 sequel film The Hills Have Eyes II. In 2008 she played the role of Claire in the remake of Prom Night. She has also appeared in the movie Broken, where her character shares a kiss with Heather Graham. She later reunited with her Prom Night co-star, Idris Elba in the movie This Christmas.

Over the years Jessica has appeared in numerous commercials, including spots for Honda, Velveeta and Target. Her most recognizable commercial appearance was as "the Dentyne Girl" in an advertisement for Dentyne Ice.

Jessica will be starring in Homecoming, a psychological thriller, alongside Mischa Barton and Matt Long. ^[1]
